The day after Christmas in 2018, my little brothers and I found my mother outside, later finding out she had a total of five strokes. She had a craniotomy surgery days later, removing a part of the bone from the skull to expose the brain, to release pressure. From that point on, me and my three other siblings life's changed. My mother lost stability on her right side, short term memory loss, and the ability to communicate comprehensibly. June 10, 2020 is the day we finally got to put that piece back on. She is now more alert than before and can lift up her right leg only so high. Due to my mother only being 49, insurance only pays for so much and therapy is not one of them. My mom is currently in a nursing home where they offer rehab and I’m willing to do whatever it takes for my mom to get back on her feet and if paying out of pocket is the only way.. it doesn’t hurt to try. My mother is the most sweetest, kindest, loving, supportive women I could ever ask for. She deserves the world! Anything means everything
