TracFab wheelchair for Wade
Donation protected
Wade Leslie is not only the Hall of Fame bull rider who holds the title for the perfect ride, he's also our friend.
The ride that gave him the title came on Oct. 26, 1991 when he and a bull named Wolfman Skoal made Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association history. Together they created the world’s only 100-point ride at the Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo in Central Point, Oregon.
Some years later while driving from Wyoming to Montana April 27, 2000, he fell asleep at the wheel and landed upside down in a creek.
In almost 18 years of bull riding, the ride that almost killed Wade happened while he was driving down a stretch of highway. He ended up severing his spinal cord at C3 and C4, leaving him paralyzed from the middle of his belly down.
Wade has constructed several different wheelchairs after getting frustrated with the chairs he's had before. He's even given them away to those he felt needed them more than he does. His selfless and giving nature is just one of the many qualities Wade possesses that inspired us to help him purchase a new wheel chair. Wade loves spending time outside and a traditional chair just isn't enough. He also spends time creating some of the most beautiful and original silver and leather works, which can be found on 100pointspurcompany.com.
However, on Wade's limited income, the money has been hard to come by in finally purchasing the new TracFab (TracFab.com) wheelchair he needs so much.
Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. Please help us give Wade the chair he needs to enjoy life to the fullest.
For any questions or more information, please contact john Hoersch or Tera Landin via Facebook or the email provided.
Thank you so much!
Update thank you to one of Wade's friends who told us this:
What was left out of the story is that Wade donated his 4x4 chair to a ranch in Alabama that takes wheelchair bound kids out on hunting trips. So currently he is without 4x4 to get out and do things other than on manicured terrain.
This is amazing. Wade has given to others after all he's been through and now it's time for us to give back to him!
Thank you!
