Track rebuild fund for Boulder Bmx Inc
Boulder BMX a staple in BMX Racing here in Nevada.
Boulder BMX has been a Sanctioned in BMX Racing since 1997. Since then the track has had countless BMX riders ride through the gates. From the Brand New Racer all the way to Olympic Gold Medalist BMX Racers.
Boulder BMX is home to many and was home to many. Right now the track needs some help. We have scheduled and put a deposit down on having Lance from Dirt Trendz come out and rebuild our track in September!
The unfortunate thing is this costs a lot of money! About 7 grand for Lance to come out and work his magic. This also does not include Equipment Rentals. Such as a front loader, skid steer and Roller. Those alone are a couple grand to rent. We don’t just have 7 grand laying around, or the money for the rental equipment. Every bit of money that comes into Boulder BMX is used for operating expenses.
After Covid hit us, and closed us down for Months and Months all of our savings had been depleted due to the expenses of keeping the track running. Electricity, water, insurance, Maintenance, Operating/Sanction Fees, Equipment/Supplies, and awards for racers. It also doesn’t help we have been closed for a few weeks now due to the Gnarly Monsoon season we have had and the flooding that has occurred at the track. Now our plan is to rebuild all four straights. Making them fun and challenging for all.
We also are planning to Slurry Coat the track for added protection when monsoon season comes as well as the added benefit of little to no water use, and the main benefit of Slurry is A FASTER ROLLING TRACK! That’s another added cost to our rebuild. This adds another couple grand to our rebuild total.
So we are asking for our BMX Families help! We have started a go fund me to help with the cost. Boulder BMX is a Non-Profit 501c3.
We are trying our best with what we have to make Boulder BMX the best BMX track is can be. But now we need you!
Thank you!
