Funeral Expenses for Tracy and Lewis Damian

Hello, we the friends of Tracy Damian are fundraising on behalf of her daughter Debra, to assist Debra with funeral expenses due to her mom’s untimely and unexpected passing.

Tracy passed away on Monday January 9, 2024, just four short weeks after a terminal cancer diagnosis. Tracy had been caring for her father, Lewis Damian, who was at home with hospice care after complications from a recent hip surgery. While caring for her father, she experienced some pain and weakness in her leg and fell. A trip to the emergency room resulted in additional testing that reveled stage 4 Metastatic bone cancer that had spread to her liver as well. Her doctor had hoped, with treatment, she would be able to have a year with her family. That quickly change just days before the start of her first treatment when she was briefly hospitalized. Days later Tracy was brought to her childhood home to be cared for by her family with the support of hospice care.

Prior to coming home with hospice care, while Tracy was in the hospital fighting for her life, her father peacefully passed away. Just four days later Tracy was reunited with her parents in heaven.

After Tracy was diagnosed she remained in Bakersfield for further testing and pain management, which left her unable for continue her fathers care. This task was then passed to Debra who had to commute between Bakersfield and Tehachapi to enable her to provide the care he needed as well as the care her mother now required. These new responsibilities prevented Debra from being able to work causing a strain on her finances as she was maintaining two households as well as the expense of the commute.

Debra blessed Tracy with three grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She is doing her best to provide for herself and her children and recover from this hardship. She is financially unprepared for the expense of a funeral and the realization of two funeral expenses is as overwhelming as the untimely passing of her mother.

We humbly ask for any contribution to ease the financial burden that have been placed upon her. Any funds donated beyond the funeral expenses will help Debra to regain some financial stability until she back to work full time.
