Tracy Farm Fire

The Backstory:
Grant and Geri Tracy are my grandparents. Long ago, they had a vision of owning enough land to fit their entire family. They had 5 kids who were just starting to have their grandchildren at the time. They bought 40 acres of prime farmland in Buckley, WA. One by one, each of their 5 kids moved to the farm with their children. Every single one of their children and grandchildren has lived on that farm, along with many others who are considered family.
While most have moved away, Grant and Geri have always remained and cared for the farm. It holds a special place in all of our hearts. It holds memories of hard work, games, campfires, picnics, and childhood.
The Fire:
On Sunday, September 9, Grant and Geri came home from church to their farm in flames. By the time they got home, the fire had already taken the barn, the chicken coop, a mobile home, two sheds, a car, many out-buildings, and even the fields. Fortunately the firefighters immediately jumped into action and they were able to save the houses, even though the fire had gotten within feet of each house.
Our Goal:
With everything that was lost in the fire, there is a lot to clean up. Clean up will be expensive. Our goal is to help Grandma and Grandpa Tracy with cleanup and restoration. With all the stress of the fire, we want to help reduce any added stress that the financial burden of clean up and restoration would bring. Anything you can give, regardless of how small, is a huge help, even if all you can give is sharing our story on your Facebook feed.
