Hello to all who read this, My name is Xavier Cal I am the son of Tracy Koblinski, I am co-organizing this fundraiser with Tracy's boyfriend of 10 years Anthony. Tracy is an RN and U.S. Army Reserve Captain, she has been an RN for over 20 years in the field with all levels of experience from Emergency, Trauma, to travel nursing abroad, and is currently doing home health infusions and has saved many lives along her journey while also being a U.S. Army Captain for 10 years and defending our country from harm. Tracy was down in Miami,FL the weekend of 06/23/2023, she was doing home health infusions for a company called HydraMed, providing Healthcare and wellness to patients in the area in need of IV infusions for wellness, she was staying at my home for the weekned to avoid the commute to and from home daily as she currently resides in Ft. Myers, FL. On 06/24/2023 at around 9:30 pm she finished her infusion with her last patient and was heading home to Ft. Myers, and she was not heard from her since that time, at around 1 am on 06/25/2023 I was Notified from a Family Member that she was involved in a life threating Car accident. As she was almost home she was struck by another car at around 11:55 pm. As the police report states, she had the right of way and had a green light to go through the intersection she was traveling through and the driver who hit her ignored their red light impacting her with reckless speed in a T-bone style accident primarily striking the drivers door putting Tracy at the direct center of impact. As Tracy told me her story and recollection of the accident, she detailed that tragic night in vivid detail, saying she fell unconscious and when she came to, she awakened to agonizing pain, being unable to move, struggling to breathe, and to what she described feeling as if she was going to die, pleading for her life and for help due to the severity of the impact and the injuries that ensued and being unable to escape the wreck from the damage that was caused to her vehicle. At 12:01 am Ft. Myers Police and Ft. Myers Fire Department arrived on the scene to assess the scene and rescue Tracy from the wreck. She was Rescued by the Ft. Myers Fire Department via the jaws of life and was removed from the vehicle but was unable to support herself walking towards the ambulance and collapsed, with the help of the paramedics on scene she made it to the ambulance and was transported by Lee County EMS to Gulf Coast Medical Center in an unstable condition. Thanks to all who were involved upon her arrival in the Emergency Department she was eventually stabilized and spent a few days in ICU and survived. Upon medical examination, it was discovered that she suffered a Bilateral rib fracture, A partially collapsed lung, A ruptured spleen, and a lumbar fracture from L1-L5. She is currently unable to walk fully without some form of support, and many movements cause excruciating pain as she's undergoing treatment for these injuries and has a long road to recovery as she will also have to undergo Physical Therapy as she heals to be able to walk again. Tracy is the sole provider for her household and she lives with her boyfriend Anthony who is disabled, two of her five children Brittany and Christy, their two cats Zen and Dushi and their dog Lucy. Tracy's Vehicle was the only vehicle they had to pay their bills or even get around, and with Tracy's current condition cannot provide for them. Unfortunately, they do not have savings to live off of as they are living check to check and are barely getting by due to the rising costs of their bills. Anthony is unable to work due to a back injury he suffered from a similar accident to Tracy's accident. And Brittany and Christy have been on a job hunt collectively for the last 3 months and are willing to work but with no luck securing employment in the jobs they have applied for, to which they are still actively looking and applying. Tracy has asked us to create this fundraiser to help support her and her family through these difficult times and unforeseen events to help cover their expenses while Tracy recovers fully and can work again and provide. It is undetermined the amount of time needed for Tracy's full recovery so I've put a benchmark goal that would help support the family for at least two months, but Tracy's recovery will take much longer than that, and it is undetermined what will happen to the family if it does. We as the family and Tracy, thank you all who acted that day in the line of your duty to save her life, for your kind support, your prayers, and your donations as we navigate this difficult time for our family. God Bless you.
