Tracy’s Build-A-Boob (or Two) Workshop

In case you hadn’t heard … our wonderful, irreplaceable friend Tracy Holbrook Stephens was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023 and underwent a double mastectomy and chemotherapy last year. The great news is that she’s in the clear and ready for life’s next chapter. And after a lot of careful consideration, Tracy has opted to undergo a breast rebuild in April. (She misses the girls — and who could blame her?)

This has not been an easy decision for Tracy — especially given all the necessary preparations that need to be put in place. In addition to being out of work for two full months of recovery, she’ll need to ensure that her deductibles are met while still feeding an ever-expanding family that currently comprises a few humans, nine dogs, two cats and a coop full of chickens.

Tracy is incredibly grateful for all the love and support she has already received — and she wouldn’t have asked for help during this portion of her journey without the urging of her lifelong friends. On behalf of one of the most genuine, bright spirits on the planet, we ask with the deepest gratitude: give if you can — and send love if you can’t.

We opted to buck tradition and give this cause a dose of levity by playfully nodding to the mall mainstay Build-A-Bear Workshop. Any resemblance to an actual teddy bear that Tracy may have following her operation will be purely coincidental.
