Tracy's London Marathon for Stroke Survivors
Donation protected
Hello - My name is Tracy Blythe, and I am running the London Marathon on October 2nd! Yes, still slightly in shock! But I have been training hard, and to make the most of this challenge, I'm launching this fundraising page to raise money for stroke survivors. Eight years ago, one of my best friends, Phill, had a stroke at just 43 yrs old. He has been left with a condition called aphasia, which means he has significant difficulties with language and speech. (Yes, the same thing that Bruce Willis has). Phill is currently working with the Queensland Aphasia Research Centre to develop tech solutions for a world-first research service to improve access to technology for people with aphasia. It's vital what they are doing with the potential to improve the lives of so many stroke sufferers worldwide. All money donated will be split between the Stroke Association and Aphasia Re-Connect, who offer incredible support in the UK and Queensland Aphasia Research Centre for their groundbreaking work. If you can spare any cash, please do donate. Someone has a stroke every five minutes in the UK.
