As a group of trained trades with tools and necessities to be self sufficient, it made sense for us to offer our help for a week with the devastating floods that have occurred recently up North. We have felt connected too many people we know, and have friends who have directly been traumatised by the last two weeks. The ongoing leadership and strong sense of community coming together to recover memories and support the physical work of cleaning up what has been described as a 'battle field', is truely inspiring. We may only be a few more hands, however every set of hands help at this point.

As the days are unfolding up there, we hope to help most along with thousands of other volunteers what they need most next week. This could be helping build stairs that have been washed away from the homes for access, or storage units on blocks to store held onto belongings and donations. We will be directed by the Floods Recovery 2022 team exactly what they need best from us in this time.

There has been an incredible amount of businesses and families dedicating them selves to the Floods Recovery to provide the basic necessities for living right now, however we are hearing many need to return to work now. We hope this shows others to think about how they could respond in some way, it may not be right now, it may be a small donation in the future or one family you could reach out to.

As much as there has been incredible stories of good will, people need mostly funds now to get them back on their feet.

This money raised is to support maybe only one family, maybe two, maybe 10. We are unsure at this point, however we will put 100% of money raised directly to helping purchase materials and cleaning up supplies that we can collect. Anything more above these basics, will be directed to a family who is in need most.

you have helped through the Fund and their stories.

The devastation in the Northern Rivers needs ongoing support - although our effort may be short compared to the ongoing community support that will last a long time, we will continue to engage others that can be of services in some way.
