Trae’s Journey Home #TraeStrong

Our dear friend Traeshaun set out to celebrate a milestone, his 30th birthday on a family cruise as he expected joy, laughter, and memories. But what was meant to be a time of celebration quickly turned into a fight for his life.

While on the trip, Trae experienced a sudden and severe medical crisis that left him intubated and sedated for three weeks over 15 hours away from home. His condition required extensive treatment, and thanks be to God, Trae’s body has been stabilized and he is on the road to recovery.

But the journey is far from over.

Trae now needs to be transported back home to Mississippi to begin the next phase: rehabilitation. Due to the severity of his condition, he must be moved by medical air transport, which is not covered by insurance and comes with a high cost.

Traeshaun has always been the one to show up with a smile, lend a hand, and brighten every room he walks into. Now, he needs our help.
