Trafford Rowing Club rowing the Bridgewater Canal

Trafford Rowing Club are a community club based in Walton Park in Sale with around 200 members.

 

We usually row on a relatively short stretch of the Bridgewater Canal between Sale and Altrincham however an intrepid group of 15 club members are aiming to be the first people ever to scull the entire 45 mile length of the Bridgewater canal, Leigh to Runcorn, across 2 days on the 25th and 26th July. 

50% of the funds raised will go towards the purchase of a new trailer which is needed to transport the boats to competitions as our current trailer is becoming unfit for purpose.

 

The remaining 50% will be donated to various charities selected by the participants including The Christie and The Alzheimer's Society.
