Tragic accident involving my husband and son

My name is Amanda Herrera, wife of Sergio Lara Jr. I’m writing this for him because he has multiple severe injuries due to an unfortunate accident with an 18 wheeler that jumped in front of my son and my husband who were on there way to get a haircut he tried to do everything he could to avoid the crash but due to the 18 wheeler taking up all 3 lanes it was un preventable. My husbands only thought was preventing a severe impact on my son's side therefore my husband swerved so that the 18 wheeler only hit his side. Because of the swerve my husband made to prevent impact on my son's side he then had to be pried out of the vehicle by 2 jaws of life, the steering wheel was pushed into his stomach. Once they were able to pry my husband from the crash my son and him then had to be rushed to BAMC hospital where they found my son had no severe injuries only a minor concussion and a bloody nose, for now. They also discovered my husband had severe injuries so they had to rush him into surgery that led him to being left with a colonoscopy bag and his stomach had to be cut and left open due to his intestines being torn apart. My husband unfortunately is going to be put out of work for 2-3 months due to his injuries and recovery time, I am as well going to be out of work so I can be by my husbands side in this time of need.. my husband does not like to be one to ask for help because he is a very hardworking man, independent person and never really asks for help. He is the provider for our family and he works very hard for everything my family and i have, anybody that knows him knows how hard he works and this is the last thing my family and I expected.
