Tragic Death - French Bulldog Mom & 9 unborn pups

Donation protected
Precious French Bulldog Mom died on the way to the Vet for emergency c-section to deliver a huge litter.
Our French Bulldog girl Trumpence (Trump Pence) was bred and due to have puppies around December 15th.  The ultrasound showed at least 5 or 6 puppies when performed about half way through pregnancy.  She got really big her last week and was taken in on day 59 of her pregnancy for an x-ray.  Pregnancy is 63 days.  She was so big she was miserable and was having trouble laying down to sleep and eat.  She was too packed with puppies.  The x-ray showed 10 puppies they thought and they put her on fluids to help her and sent us home with instructions for oxygen treatments and to come back the next day for a c-section fearing taking the puppies too early they would all be premature and die.  I took her home and every 2-3 hours I gave her oxygen for about 5-10 minutes and she did seem to feel better and rested quietly that night.  The next morning at 7 AM I loaded her and headed to the Vet and about half way I stopped to pick up my sister to ride with me.  When I checked on her there she was not sleeping she was dead!  I called the Vet and not knowing exactly how long she had been dead I took a chance and carried her to my sisters house and I cut her open and pulled out 9 puppies.  They were small and dead.  We worked trying to revive them but there was no response at all.  What a beautiful litter and mom to lose just because she was pregnant with too many and her body couldn't handle it and it shut down.  We were all in tears and couldn't believe what I had to do in hopes of saving maybe just one precious life.  I drove home in tears where my husband dug a hole and we buried her and her 9 babies.  Trumpence was one of three girls that I breed.  I have been breeding for 26 years and never thought I would ever have to cut my own dog open, luckly my Vet has let me watch him during c-sections so I kinda knew what I was doing.

I really don't want to put anyone out or ask for charity just wanted to have my story out there.  We can never replace her but funds would help to get another female and help with the Vet bills we have incurred.

Everyone has something horrible happen at some time or another but I have no words for how horrible this was and it will stick with me forever.  We miss our ball chasing Trumpence!
