Tragic Death of Mother & Wife

Amazing mother, devoted wife, and dedicated teacher are descriptions that hardly scratch the surface of the wonderful woman who was taken from us too soon.

On April 2, 2022, Julie M. Adams (nee Brett) passed away following the birth of her second child, a son named Owen. After developing an amniotic embolism and delivering her son at 10:10 pm on April 1st via emergency c-section, Julie continued to fight as hard as she could until her body had nothing left to give.

Due to the circumstances of his birth, Owen was diagnosed with Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) and transported to CHOP for treatment. It is currently unknown what complications Owen may have now or in the future as a result of HIE.

Julie also leaves behind a 5-year-old daughter, Kayla, whose favorite person in the world was her mother, along with her husband and best friend, Eric. Both of them are trying to come to terms with this massive hole in their lives.

We are hoping to raise enough funds to cover the medical expenses associated with the life-saving measures for both Julie and Owen, along with funeral and other unexpected future costs, so that Eric, Kayla, and Owen can just focus on healing and moving forward.
