Tragic House Fire - Help Charlie Rebuild

On May 17th, our beloved family home in Vienna, VA was consumed by a disastrous fire. I grew up in this house & my father lived there to this day. The damage is extensive; most of his belongings are unsalvageable and he’s left with very little to relocate and rebuild.

To all fortunate enough to know my dad, you likely aren’t too surprised to hear he’s still out here cracking irreverent jokes in typical Charlie fashion. But in reality, he is emotionally and financially devastated. During the pandemic, a majority of his clients phased out the need for pet sitting services in their transition to remote work, and his business never came close to recovering. With his savings nearly depleted and his laptop (and all of his clothing) demolished in the fire, he’s now in genuine need of assistance from the friends and family he loves so dearly.

He’s found emergency housing and is now actively looking for an affordable place to live. All donations will go toward rent while we repair the house in the coming 8-12 months. No pressure at all - we understand it’s a difficult time for everyone & we appreciate your generosity ️❤️
