Tragic Loss of a Child-Support for Family of Geno

The unexpected death of a child is an unimaginable loss that no one could prepare for. Today we are extremely saddened to announce with a heavy heart that beautiful Baby Geno has passed away. The love and joy that he brought to them will never be forgotten. No amount of words can express the pain his parents, Krisean and Darius, are feeling after losing their son.

As many of you have heard, Baby Geno made his grand entrance into the world on May 20, 2022, about 3 months earlier than expected due to a placenta abruption.

What started out as a typical Friday night for Baby Geno’s mom, Krisean, quickly turned into one of the most traumatizing events any parent will experience. Lying down in a pool of her own blood and filled with the imminent fear that she nor Baby Geno would make it, they patiently waited for help after placing a very scary 911 call. Although fearful and stressed out, both Mom and Dad were relieved that an emergency c-section allowed them to hear his heartbeat.

Baby Geno was immediately placed in NICU where a nearly 2-week journey began. Not only was Mom present for care times - requesting to be wheeled in by Baby Geno’s side each opportunity she could - putting forth endless efforts of pumping 3 hours for breast milk and dealing with the postpartum recovery plus pain from her emergency c-section, but she has been juggling caring for 3-year-old Big Brother, Lorenzo, all while Dad is working tirelessly each night and doing what he can to support his family during the day.

A parent can never plan for the loss of a child, and we can’t even imagine the pain they are in. The family is devastated, utterly, and completely heartbroken. No one should have to think and worry about expenses at a time like this. Krisean and Darius are amazing, loving parents who work really hard so that their family can thrive. We are asking for donations to help this beautiful young family with funeral expenses and to help them manage their expenses over the next few months so they can stay home as they grieve the loss of their son and continue to provide for and support Lorenzo. I do not want them to have to worry about anything other than healing their hearts.
