Tragic Loss of Young Father, Henok's home-going

On the night of January 3rd, 2021, we lost a young father who was the embodiment of commitment: commitment to love, and to family. As we’re left with memories of his laughter, his humor, and the good-hearted light he brought into our lives, his fiancé remembers, above all,  his kindness. Watching my dearest childhood friend, his fiancé, stare into nothingness repeating, “He was ALWAYS kind” to herself was a heartbreaking moment. He was kind. His kindness was not only in his gestures, but in the way he adored and took care of his 5-year-old son, his loving fiancé, his mother, and all in his community.

He was suddenly taken from us on Sunday night in a tragic car accident on his way to work in Dallas, TX. None of us can truly fill the emptiness he has left us all with, and more importantly in his family, his devastated mother, and fiancé, his son and unborn child.

As this was a sudden loss, I’m reaching out to you all to ease their stress and support them as they plan his send off and grieve this tremendous loss. Donations will go directly to his fiancé and his mother and will be put towards covering funeral and burial expenses and lift any additional financial burden they may experience. We are thankful for any support you may provide and ask to keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the difficult road ahead.

የሃዘናችን ተካፋዮችና እንዲሁም በጎ ኣድራጊዎች የወንድማችንን ኣስከሬን ለመሸኘት ወጭዉን ለመሸፈን የአቅሞትን ኣስተዋፅዎ ያረጉልን ዘንድ በኣክብሮት አንጠይቃለ።
