Tragic loss of beloved Daniel Jacob Oyler

Daniel, age 23, unexpectedly passed away Sept. 6 in Los Angeles, CA due to an aggressive form of Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia causing an intracerebral brain hemorrhage. He leaves a legacy of love, laughter and tremendous faith that reaches far beyond his years. Within a 2 week period Daniel was admited, diagnosed, was given several transfusions and was scheduled to start chemotherapy. Overnight, his white blood cell count elevated to extreme levels, ultimately taking his life very quickly. His family found comfort in knowing he was in good spirits, good care and did not not experience any undo suffering. He never complained or said “why me,” and was even selflessly thinking of how he could bless others. A true testimony of Daniel’s tender hearted nature and love for his family, friends and even hospital staff.

Most recently Daniel was able to pursue his dreams of becoming an actor and graduated from an elite acting school, American Academy of Dramatic Arts, in Hollywood California. He was making the move to live with friends in California to pursue a career. Daniel grew up as a charismatic entertainer, superhero lover, and performed in several local theatre productions. He most recently played the lead in a show at this college that would have blown your socks off. We still believe Daniel’s passions and testimony will live on through his work and through the people’s hearts he’s touched.
