Tragic Night at Hooked Fish Market: RIP Lafayama Chapman
Donation protected
The owner of Hooked Fish Market at Driving Park and Dewey Avenue in Rochester, NY is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Lafayama Chapman, a regular visitor to his establishment.
On Friday, August 16, 2024 at 11:12 p.m., Chapman, 36, was caught in a tragic chain reaction car crash that slammed him between the car and the storefront. This was shortly after he had left with food from the owner’s nightly food bank with a piece of cake. This initiative, where the owner provides free food to those in need after closing, is a beacon of hope in the community.
The owner, Mr. Hooked is heartbroken by this "wrong place, wrong time" tragedy, reflects on how the accident injured staff and could have impacted even more lives. He is now advocating for the community to support a GoFundMe effort to help the family of Lafayama Chapman. Mr. Hooked is committed to supporting the community, even in the face of such unimaginable sorrow. Please join Mr. Hooked as he continues to support the community.
This campaign is approved by the family of Lafayama Chapman (India Chapman and Kenneth Chapman) and organized by Hooked Fish Market (Kennetha Rivers) with communications support from Everyday People PR (Rashad Smith, Owner). All funds donated will support the family of Lafayama Chapman.
