Tragic & Senseless Murder of Bryan Proenza

On January 16, 2024, Bryan Andrew Proenza, only 34 years old, was shot and killed in Riverview, Florida. His murderer had extreme road rage, and for no reason, crashed into Bryan's vehicle multiple times before getting out of his vehicle and firing multiple shots at Bryan, his fiance and their two young children. In a desperate attempt to shield his family, Bryan was hit with two bullets. While his fiance held him and screaming for help, the shooter and his two passengers drove a few houses down and stood in their driveway, watching as Bryan bled to death, completely helpless, in front of his family.

As of today, Bryan's killer has only been charged with Aggravated Battery. The two passengers in the killer's vehicle have yet to be arrested or charged with any crimes.

Bryan was well-known and greatly loved in our community. He was the type of man to make friends with anyone and everyone. He was always smiling and always friendly. Bryan was a loving fiance, the best father to 5 beautiful children, a devoted son, brother, and friend. He was kind and he was caring. He was a provider and a guiding light to his family.

Bryan did not deserve to be gunned down over something so senseless. He did not deserve to have his life ripped away from him. His children did not deserve to lose their father at such a young age. Their lives will forever be destroyed by some punk with a gun and anger issues.

We have created this go fund me not only to help provide financial support for Bryan's family, who are near and dear to my heart, to help give him the funeral that he deserves, but also to help raise awareness of this tragic, senseless, and cruel murder of a good man. We urge the community to speak out against Bryan's killer and urge the police to prosecute him to the full extent of the law! Currently Bryan's killer has a bond and could be set free at any time, to possibly go out and murder someone else's loved one.

Lastly, a celebration of life has been planned for Bryan on Saturday 1/27/24 at his mother's home. She would love for all of his friends and family to attend and share the love that everyone has for her son.
