Train Harper’s service dog!

Harper is a typical brave, sweet, wild 5 year old who unfortunately has type 1 diabetes. She was diagnosed at 3 years old and soon will have been fighting this battle for half of her young life. She has endured countless number of needle pokes, blood draws, injections, pump changes and many other things that most adults don’t even handle well. She also deals with crazy blood sugar spikes and drops on the daily. These can be very scary, even deadly for her. She wears an implanted device that alerts us to drops and spikes but unfortunately it isn’t perfect. We are fundraising to help pay for training Luci (a brilliant giant schnauzer) for service to make her life a little easier. 

With the right training Luci will be able to alert us to low blood sugars (hypoglycemia) as well as quick drops that may help us get ahead of a low. She will also be able to retrieve life saving supplies when Harper is too low to do so herself. To do this she will need a LOT of training and we just aren’t able to bear this financial burden alone. 

We we would be so grateful if anyone felt called to donate, or even just to share our fundraiser in the hopes we can make our goal. It is a lot to ask, but we are desperate to make her life a little better and easier. Thank you!
