Training Elmo for Millie
Donation protected
Millie is age 9 and was diagnosed with Refractory Epilepsy at just 4 years old. She does'nt respond to medication and can have upto 60 seizures a day. Milllie has had to cope with multiple side effects through trying a number of different medications in the hope that something will work. Millie also contracted the life thretening rash Steven Johnsons Syndrome from having a reaction to a medication. Millie has had to give up most of her out of school clubs and move from mainstreem school.
Millie shows us she has tremendous strength and courage to fight this illness every single day.
Millie has a best friend called Elmo who is our little cheeky doggie. What first started out as a special friendship has now turned into somthing much more amazing. Only a few months ago we noticed that Elmos behaviour changed around Millie at the time of seizures.
even though it seams Elmo has a gift she needs some help with training so she can alert us when Millie needs us.
We have looked into a number of different charaties but are not having much luck, I have looked into private training but this is proving to be extremely expensive.
If anyone can help with training or has a contact willing to help or if you can spare some change to help with the costs we would be most greatful this may help save her life one day.
Thank you so much.
