Tran Family recovery support from home invasion
Donation protected
Dear friends,
For those of you who do not know me personally my name is Loanne Tran.
On January 10th, my sister Lynn had to call 911 because there was a break-and-enter into our family home. She discovered that the locks were cut to our tool shed, and 2 sets of doors were smashed. Along with our home being ransacked, everything was taken. Every item of clothing and bedding, electronics ripped out of the wall, kitchenware, faucets torn out of the sink, and most importantly priceless family objects like my mom's wedding dress and our baby clothes my parents saved were stolen.
Additionally, my father who is an electrician had his tools, personal protective equipment, and paperwork taken, which means he is unable to work until everything is replaced and in order. His job is currently the main source of income for our family.
Over the duration from Monday to Thursday, the suspects have continuously tried to break back into the home over 6 times. Police have been called each time and this is an ongoing investigation now. We are also in touch with insurance, but as we know this is a long and strenuous process.
Right now our family is going through a tremendous amount of loss in both safety, security and everything my parents have worked incredibly hard to build since coming to Canada.
My sisters and I come to you humbly in search of help as we rebuild our house into a home. Any small donation or share will go a long way to helping my parents get back on their feet while we work to repair what was lost. Thank you in advance for your empathy, generosity, and kindness during this tough time.
With love,
Lo Tran
