Trans couple scammed out of money

Hey yall. Me and my partner were recently scammed out of $1500 while looking for a place to live and it is important that we try to get it back as we can no longer stay where we are currently and need more stable conditions. We were scammed by a woman posing as a legitimate renter and within the last day before we were supposed to move in she claimed that she owed a large amount of money to the home owners association and demanded that we pay more before moving and so i requested that she give our money back and more problems came about afterwards. We both have jobs that we're potentially going to miss out on because of this incident and we aren't gonna be able to stay where we are for very much longer so its important that we try to make it back and try to look elsewhere as soon as possible. Any help is extremely appreciated I cant really express how dire the situation is please share if you can.
