Trans Household Seeking Covid Relief Housing Fund

Hello all! We are a group of trans and queer creative individuals living together in DTLA. We are reaching out to our community and seeking financial assistance in order to maintain our housing!
Due to COVID-19 all of us were out of work for several months this year! We have all faced extreme anxiety and depression as we have tried to navigate this pandemic together. On top of this, some of us are also navigating our transitions(including recovering from gender affirming surgeries and adjusting to hormone replacement therapy) which adds another layer to our struggle for employment, sustainable housing and sound mental and emotional health.
Because of these circumstances, we were unable to pay rent from April to July of this year. During this time, it has been an upwards battle trying to get approved for rent assistance programs due to our household not being a traditional family dynamic(many of the financial assistance programs are specific to families with children).
Despite us having resumed paying rent for several months now, we do not have the means to pay off the remaining balance and we fear we may get an eviction notice and lose our housing!
We are hoping to raise $8500 which will allow us to pay off our overdue rent balance! We will also be using part of this money to acquire food and other household necessities for the next few months!
