Transform Education for Kids with Learning Disability

Education has always been more than a career path for me; it is my life’s calling and the lens through which I see opportunities to create change.
Growing up in Nigeria, I witnessed firsthand the struggles children with learning disabilities face in accessing quality education. Many were labeled as slow or difficult, not because they lacked potential but because the system wasn’t designed to meet their unique needs. These experiences deeply affected me and inspired me to do something about it. I wanted to create a world where every child, no matter their ability, has the chance to learn and succeed.
Over the years, I have dedicated myself to working in early childhood education, focusing on helping children with learning disabilities. I am the founder of Child Wellbeing Initiative, a non-profit organization in Nigeria. Our mission is to support children with learning disabilities by providing their teachers and parents with the tools and knowledge to help them.
One of the most rewarding parts of the non-profit has been seeing the change in children when their teachers are equipped to support them. We organize teacher training workshops, mentorship programs, and outreach initiatives that transform classrooms into inclusive spaces. One particularly impactful project involved training 200 teachers in public primary schools on literacy strategies tailored to children with learning disabilities. The results were inspiring: students who once struggled to engage began to participate, read, and thrive in ways that defied the labels placed on them. Seeing that transformation made me realize how much of a difference early intervention and proper training can make in a child’s life.
We are fundraising to expand our reach and impact more children with learning disabilities. Your support will help us provide more training workshops, mentorship programs, and resources to teachers and parents, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed.
Money raised will be used to continue our Teachers Mentorship Program—providing educators with the skills and strategies needed to support diverse learners—and to launch an After-School Tutorial Program for children struggling in the classroom.
Your donation will help:
- Train and mentor teachers on inclusive education
- Provide struggling students with personalized after-school support
- Equip classrooms with essential learning materials
