Old Mohill Station House redevelopment
Donation protected
Hi, we are Mohill Town Team, a community group made up of representatives from local organisations and businesses from the town of Mohill, Co. Leitrim, Ireland.
The Old Station House, which is over 100 years old, closed as a working railway station in 1959. It lay derelict until 2012, when a small group of dedicated trustees acquired it on behalf of the local community.
Our aim is to transform this building into a vibrant community, heritage and tourism space which will be the "go-to" place for locals and visitors alike.
With the support of Leitrim County Council, a grant of €500,000 was secured from the Dept. of Rural and Community Development. A condition of this funding is that the local community must raise at least 10% of the cost of the project with work due to commence shortly.
All contributions, big or small, will be greatly appreciated!
