Transient Killer Whale Research Project Fundraiser
The Transient Killer Whale Research Project is an organisation dedicated to the research, education, and conservation of Bigg's (transient) killer whales in the Northeastern Pacific Ocean.
For over a decade we have collected and consolidated data, both in the field and in the laboratory, in order to provide insight into the ecology and behaviour of these mammal hunting specialists. Our main study sites are in the Salish Sea and Monterey Bay, California, both unique marine ecosystems.
Recently we have been very fortunate to have received funding to purchase our new research vessel, Tango! We are now in need of financial support to help with additional equipment and boat fuel to continue our monitoring efforts.
This includes:
-An Aquarian H1a Hydrophone & Honeytone Amplifier speaker
-Zoom H1n digital recorder
-Microsoft Access Program
-Navionics chart program
-Vessel operating expenses
We thank you for your support in our efforts to make a difference!
