This is the crowdsourcing fund page for Bonnie Sentinel’s gender transition!
Bonnie Sentinel began her gender confirmation journey on June 13, 2014. With limited income, we haven’t been able to afford the changes and procedures that are required for Bonnie to feel fully comfortable in her own body. Medical insurance does not cover transition-related procedures, including any surgeries, hormones, or basic transgender healthcare.
Surgeries and hormonal treatments will vary in cost by what is made available to us, and what medications Bonnie's doctors determine she needs. We will also need to pay for doctor's visits, primary care, and mental health care for Bonnie, since Georgia did not expand Medicaid, and she is left with one of the lowest-coverage plans available through the marketplace.
