Home Bound Prek Teacher Rolling Towards Ramp

Hi, my name is Allison Pattion, and I am fundraising for myself. It is difficult for me to reach beyond my inner self and show others that I need their support. I am an Empath. I usually take on others' needs as my own and focus on helping them. As an educator, this was always a helpful skill to make my 15 years in prek fantastic. I love what I did and am having a hard time transitioning. As many teachers do, I put others' needs before myself, including my health. Unfortunately, I didn’t take time for self-care or mental health, so I've found myself out of the classroom and home-bound.

Due to Covid and when schools moved to virtual, I have been in my home for over four years. I was terrified to catch it because of my server illnesses. One of which is Lymphedemas on both legs hindered my mobility. I need a wheelchair ramp to exit my home and attend my doctors’ appointments but also restart water therapy to begin weight loss. This is a reason I must reach out for others' help. The pricing will include the ramp, materials top, and the person or company to complete the task.

I will become part of the world again with your support and get out in it. No more years of angst and feeling closed in. It is essential. I do not want to die because I am home bound and do not exclude myself from people and happy times. The funds will be used to purchase sturdy materials to make a ramp and pay someone to construct it safely to use and any funds remaining to purchase consumable medical items that cost out of pocket.
