Boost TRAR Foundation's Food Security Mission

Our Mission

TRAR Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to cultivating a sustainable future where food waste is reduced, and access to nutritious food is a right, not a privilege. Our mission is to empower communities through the exchange of produce and pantry staples, fostering a culture of sharing. By connecting neighbors, we aim to create a resilient network where surplus food becomes a resource rather than waste. Together, we can combat food insecurity and build stronger, more nourishing communities for all.

Our Goals

We are currently building Porch2Porch, an online platform where users can freely and anonymously claim unwanted and unused food items from donors. Volunteer delivery drivers will deliver the food so that those without means of transportation can freely use the site. We will begin with serving East Nashville and eventually expanding to serve the greater Nashville community.

Your Donations

Currently, all listings and operations of the site have to be handled by members of our team, which is extremely time intensive. We will be using your generous donations to pay for the automation of our online platform, allowing us to increase how many people we can serve and more easily allow for the expansion of our platform to Nashville at large.
