Traumatic experience has led to alcohol abuse

Hi everyone.

im not one for a sob story but on this occasion I am in need of help.

when I was 10 I went through 3 years of sexual abuse by my badminton coach.

despite never saying a word and putting it all behind me it has reared its ugly head. Around 4 years ago I found out that a lot of other people had come forward regarding this same individual and after a few conversations I found out the same person was teaching in my nephews school.

I had to come forward myself.

it was an 18 month case, it tarnished the birth of my beautiful little girl and led me down paths I didn’t want to go down.

3 days after the birth of my daughter I had to be in court to give evidence about the most traumatic time of my life.

I looked to alcohol to help, now I find myself in such a bad state that I am desperate to attend a 28 day rehab facility to get my life back.

not just for me but for my amazing wife and beautiful daughter.

inhave drinking to excess for almost 4 years now and my health has taken a massive hit. I am ready to change but simply cannot afford the pay for rehab and my local area a options are incredibly limited.

thr £16,000 is to pay for 28 days of rehab.y work is going to try and help towards this on the assumption I can raise at least some of the funds.
