Travailians in a time of need

We have had many requests from our community asking how they can support the Travail Collective employees that are recently unemployed. Travail has always created a community and a family that welcomes everyone. Due to the COVID-19 mandates to close all restaurants and bars, all of the staff of Travail Kitchen & Amusements and Pig Ate My Pizza were laid off as of 3/15/2020.
This puts many of the staff in a precarious position of trying to figure out what essentials to pay for and prioritize. Travail itself is helping facilitate the unemployment process, maintain access to healthcare/cobra, and our remaining team have elected to put any tips received for the carryout business towards this cause as well.
When the layoffs were announced an employee’s parents reached out to start a fund to help ensure staff could stay afloat. We know others have asked how they can help too, so this Go Fund Me page was set up.
The Travail Collective has been there to help you celebrate, to invite you into their family, and to create a magical world even if just for a few hours. Let's help them lessen the burden placed on these employees as they have been asked to stop doing what they love in order to keep our community safe.
We plan to use the money raised to buy gift cards for groceries and help with any emergencies or essential needs our staff might have. We are doing our best to help our tribe stay afloat so we can bring them back after all this and continue a tradition of spreading joy and sharing creativity.
Thank you for your support.
