Travel Academy Family 2 Family Giving Initiative

In 2019, we shifted STATE's giving model to be more flexible in how we support kids, communities and families in need... by doing so in the ways they need it most. In June 2022, STATE launched the first ever Travel Academy initiative, giving the gift of travel to middle school students from East New York, Brooklyn, flying them to California for a life-changing experience.

With the October 2nd release of the Travel Academy documentary film, STATE is now kicking off an initiative built to further support the founding students and families this coming year - in the ways they need it most. Whether it's helping with SAT tutoring, outstanding rent and electric bills due to ongoing pandemic challenges, swim, piano and/or acting lessons, our goal is to fulfill these requests - with help from you all - as best we can... with every single penny raised going directly to our Travel Academy families.

Here is the detailed list of the family's needs and requests. Please feel free to support however feels most comfortable for you and if you'd like to leave a note specifying which family you'd like your funds to go, we'll funnel it directly to them. This is something STATE's Co-Founder, Scot and his Camp Power team have done before and it had TREMENDOUS direct impact.
