No words can describe the pain and loss the Tice-Hodson family is experiencing at this time. On Friday, August 20th at approximately 10:13am; tragedy struck as Jason Thomas Hodson took his last flight here on earth. The plane in which Jason was co-piloting crashed in Wadesboro, North Carolina just after refueling at Anson County Airport. The newly purchased plane his friend acquired experienced engine issues. Both Jason and his friend owned many planes and bonded at their local airport community in LaBelle, FL. Both men were experienced pilots and unable to recover safely. They both perished in the fire caused by the crash landing. Although Jason and Heather had contingencies in place should anything ever occur; due to the ongoing investigations of local, state, and federal agencies, this has created many unforeseen obstacles and delays in bringing Jason home from North Carolina. We believe Jason is now flying in heaven with family whom have passed before him. He spent his final moments here on earth doing what he loved and following his passion. After 18 years of a loving marriage, and 2 beautiful children who adore their father, we ask for donations to assist in getting Jason’s remains home and during this time of bereavement.
