Travel Book Investment Opportunity for 2025

Hello, my name is Shawn, a 25 year teacher of Social Studies. One of the great joys in my life has been almost 50 years of experiencing the world through travel. From a young age, my parents imprinted on us a deep and abiding wanderlust for the open road. They filled our lives with books about different places, foods, cultures, and adventures. They would start up the family van and set us off for unknown destinations just to see what we could see and experience what we could experience. That need to see EVERYTHING has led me to witness life in Russia, Greece, Turkey, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, the Baltic, and so much more. I have hiked the Camino across Spain. I have almost accomplished seeing all of the continental US. One time, my kids and I secured grant funding to explore Route 66 in the aftermath of COVID 19 to assess the national culture.

Now, I am really feeling the urge to take a massively encompassing West Coast road trip with my daughter in 2025 exploring states we have not seen, participating in new cultures, and recording the experiences of our travels in a book. What I am proposing is an investment opportunity rather than crowd funding. My plan is to use the money we raise here on gofundme to make the journey and then pay every investor back with the sales of the book. I don't know how much we will make from the book or if there will even be any interest, but I will make good on my promise to pay back my investors within the next 7 years, even if it comes from my own pocket. Essentially for every dollar you put into our project, you will buying one share. I don't even know if this will work, but I am willing to put my dream out there and see how much love we can get.
