Travel to Jr World Trampoline Championships

Support our young trampoline athletes, representing Canada on the World stage, at the 2023 World Age Group Competition. and Junior World Championships, being held in Birmingham, England, this November.

Sienna Kuznak, 16 years old, and Jordyn Schmidt, 15 years old, have been selected to compete for Canada, at this very important competition.

Both girls train at the Flip City Gymnastics Club, in Langley, B.C.

This will be the second time that these young women have been named to Team Canada for this competition. Last year, it was held in Sofia, Bulgaria. Both girls finished in the middle of the pack, and had their eyes opened as to what it would take to be a finalist at this level, this year.

They have upped their game, with improved difficulty, and stand a good chance of making double minitramp finals, where they are ranked number 1 and 2 in Canada in their age group, and also synchronized trampoline, where they are ranked first. They will also compete in individual trampoline as well, where they are ranked 2nd and 3rd.

Canada has always been a strong country in the sport of trampoline, at the World, and Olympic level. Canada has won medals at all but one Olympic Games, since trampoline was introduced, in 2000.

Rosie MacLennan is the only Canadian athlete from any sport, to repeat as Olympic Champion.

Making the Canadian team is no easy chore, and these girls have the goal of being on the senior team in the next few years.

This trip will be expensive. There is no funding from our governing body for these young athletes. Only seniors are eligible for any financial help.

The expected cost for this journey will be around $4000 each. Both girl's families have already spent a great deal of money this year, sending the girls to Montreal, and Edmonton for trials, this season.

Both of these athletes come from families with other children, and the expenses are adding up to be a considerabe amount for both families.

I would love for them to feel some encouragement from any former athletes, coaches, friends, etc, by receiving donations to help cover a portion of this trip.
