Travelling to China for the World Championships
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Dave, and I have been teaching Kung Fu in London for the past 25 years. Two of my students, Daniel and Maki, qualified this year to be members of the BCCMA British Traditional Kung Fu Team, and they will be travelling to China in August to represent Great Britain and participate in the 9th IWUF World Championships being held at Mount Emei in Sichuan Province.
As a leading specialist in Southern Style Kung Fu (and White Crane in particular), I will be travelling to China with them in order to make sure they are psychologically prepared, and to give them the best possible chance of performing at their best. I will be with them while they are competing and I will also be working to improve my understanding of the standard and skill that their competitors have at World Championship level. This will enable me to bring this knowledge back, to further improve the skills of current and future members of the British Team, and therefore improve our chances of performing well at this level.
Unfortunately, there is no funding for our sport, and I am having to pay for my own travel and accommodation, which is why I am asking for help. Can you assist me in paying for this travel, so that I can give Daniel and Maki the best chance of performing well at the World Championship, and to improve my experience as a coach, helping me to contribute to the standard of Traditional Wushu in Great Britain? Thanks for any donations that you can make!
