travis and rocker desperately need your help

hello friends, family and anyone who sees this.

my name is travis gray(travis lee on fb) and coming to this decision (after much discussion with some of the people closest to me) to ask for your help,is one of the most difficult things i have ever had to do.

those of you who know me, know it takes aloooot for me to ask for help in any aspect of my life , but i am doing so now.

as i write this i am currently living in an extended stay hotel in phoenix with my dog Rocker.

we are here because a few weeks back ,severe plumbing issues were found in the condo we shared with my roommate /landlord after the toilet in my bathroom overflowed and the people in the condo below us got water in their place.

it was discovered that the floors underneath my bathtub etc, as well as my roommates were all dangerously rotted out ,as well as damaged pipes. this meant the bathrooms have to be completely gutted and redone. my landlord had been contemplating rennovating and selling and this situation became the catalyst for that. since the plumbing issues were not in any way my fault, and we can't be there during construction, he offerred/agreed to put us up here for a month, then after that, we have to find a new place to live.

here's the problem/s with that....i am completely and utterly financially destitute. i have zero money, none.

i lost the only job i've ever loved at the end of february, still honestly don't know why. i can't draw unemployment as the last time i was briefly on it the state said i was overpaid and that amount has to be repaid,which i have not been able to do.

i got hired somewhere else very soon after, but that didn't last long . to say it wasn't a good fit is an understatement, bran new management that created a beyond unprofessional work environment and that's being concise and kind.

so, i'v been out of work since february.

in addition to that, i have had five "major"(surgeons words not mine) surgeries in the last six plus years ,resulting in just over a combined three years of lost work and income. no disability etc, as these surgeries were not the results of on the job injuries.

added to that, is the fact that i am still not recovered from last june's bone fusion surgery and subsequent freak house accident that damaged said fusion. i walk worse now than prior to surgery. i had an mri last monday in an effort to see what's going on. i still have another week to go before my appointment with my surgeon to see what's going on.

on top of all of that, i was recently diagnosed by therapist with depression. that is something i did not want to admit to myself,or anyone else for that matter, at all. i realized she was right and apparently have been afflicted for the last several years. we agreed that i would try an anti-depressant and see how that goes. since my therapist is not a psychiatrist,i have to get that prescription through my primary care dr and that appointment is almost two weeks out.

as a result of all this, what savings i had is gone and my credit is ruined. i am months behind on all my bills.

i have of course ,been looking for jobs , but i am a bartender and noone is hiring this time of year in the valley as business slows down dramatically here in the summer. that said, i have two very good leads on good jobs...one in the biz and one out. if hired for the one out, i would be part of the september(beginning) training group and the one in the biz,which is a good gig and the gm really wants me there, would also start around then,or "season" as we call it in the service industry.

i am currently doing doordash and ubereats in an effort to prevent my car from being reposessed, my phone being turned off , insurance cancelled, food for rocker, myself, gas and rocker's meds. rocker is still recovering from an acl injury, going on close to a year now .

i'm sorry this is so long,but this is literally as short and concise as i can tell you what's going on with me. i am in a really bad situation to say the least and need your help.

the shame and embarrassment i feel for being in this situation and having to reach out like this is crippling.

we have to find a new place to live , sooner rather than later. as you can probably tell by what i've told you here, i absolutely do not have first and last months rent to put down on a new place, nor do i have the money to continue living here after our 30 days is up in 3 more weeks, though i imagine we'll have to stay here til we find a new place.

so to all who see this, i am beyond humbly asking for your help. i need help with everything i mentioned above, putting together first and last, and just day to day/monthly living expenses. just staying here is almost 2k/month and this is far from being what you would consider a nice hotel,but it's one of the cheapest.

i put a goal of $10k because you HAVE to have a goal amount. i don't know exactly how much I need as rent as sky-rocketed and a decent one bedroom is now anywhere from about $1,100-$1,600/month,so just first and last alone...

so, with hat in hand and heavy heart, i am asking for your help. anything you can spare, afford, are at ease donating ,is beyond gratefully and lovingly appreciated.

that said, for those who wish to donate , but would prefer to do it outside of my gofundme here, i have zelle, cashapp, venmo(i think i have paypal), and you can also use MetaPay. if you use metapay , i believe you donate directly to me via facebook messenger, i then provide my debit card number and the entire amount goes directly into my account with zero fees taken.

zelle is a little different. my bank just recently partnered with zelle and there are two ways to use zelle here. the first is to do it directly from your banking app. i believe you just put in my name ( travis gray) and it should come up with my name and number, and you can just do it from there.

the second and slightly more effort consuming is to let me know you want to donate through zelle , give me your full legal name , phone number and email , then i enter that and send a request to you. a hassle i know, but that's how my bank/zelle do it , if you don't do it through your banking app.

i will be including pics/screenshots of my venmo and cashapp "tags"on the facebook post as i cannot for the life of me seem to do it correctly here.

as i said, i will be working in or out of the bar biz, when "season"starts but it will take awhile for me to get caught up on everything.

with that in mind, i will also be keeping track of donations. to those who choose not to donate anonymously, i intend on paying everyone back. it will absolutely take time, but i will do it.
