All,
Travis Heck, one of our trusted and dedicated Copper Sky employees is going through a difficult time and needs your help.
Travis has been diagnosed with Stage IV Pleomorphic Rhabdomyosarcoma in his right thigh. This is a malignant tumor that grows in your muscle and only 1% of patients have this form of cancer. Thus, it is very rare. The sarcoma is high grade and has spread to his right lung, making it Stage IV with poor prognosis.
On September 9th, he had the lower lobe of his right lung (where a 2nd mass is located) removed. Two weeks after his lung surgery, scans showed a mass in his right pelvic lymph node where it can spread throughout his body.
The current plan is to use chemo to kill bad cells throughout his body and to hopefully shrink both masses in his leg and his lymph node. If successful, treatment will continue with radiation and surgery to remove the masses. These surgeries will heavily impact his body as he will lose sections of muscles in his leg and possible lower abdomen/ intestinal removal.
Travis is in for the fight for his life. During this time, he will not be able to work as he is focusing on his treatment. Please donate to Travis's fund to help him, his wife, Maggie, and his soon to be newborn child. This will help them pay for increasing medical expenses associated with these ongoing expensive treatments.
We love you Travis!!
