Travis Hoffman - Cancer Treatment

If you are reading this, you are aware that my son, Travis Hoffman, age 33, has been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer.
He began his cinematography career in LA after graduating from Full Sail University with a BA and then headed to the Brooks Institute in California to pursue a master’s degree. He has had a remarkable 10 years and has worked hard each day to pursue his love for this career. His talents and skilled eye have always amazed me. Since then Travis moved to LA where he has done 4 feature films, shot various music videos, commercials and photo campaigns for some great artists in the industry and all the while teaching film and cinematography at The New York Film Academy.
In November in LA, he noticed that he had something unusual in his rib area. His Primary Care Physician sent him to the ER and after extensive testing he was told that there was no concern.
In December, after careful consideration he decided to move back to Florida to be close to family and friends and to pursue his career locally. He continued to have this nagging pain and several weeks ago he sneezed and fell to his knees in pain. An x-ray revealed that he had a mass that had fractured his rib. This led to a CT scan followed by a visit to a Pulmonologist who indicated that he believed the mass to be malignant and set up a biopsy. The biopsy confirmed his diagnosis that he did in fact have malignant cancer, one that is thought to be very rare. He is being referred to the Moffitt Cancer Center to seek immediate treatment and they will only take his insurance out of network in which he will incur high deductibles and out of pocket expenses.
Everyone has been so kind and supportive and asking how can they help. Travis has had to decline two job offers due to his condition and is currently without income. So, we are asking for your help, to donate whatever you can to relieve the stress of unlimited prescriptions, diagnostic testing, hospital stays, copays, etc. and to get him immediate treatment.
If we all do this together, we can really make a difference and relieve one degree of stress in his fight in this chaotic cancer world.
