Travis & Jess need our help to kick Cancer!

Donation protected
Hi, our names are Tyler Fehler and Kelsey Holfeld, we are starting this fundraiser to help Travis Fehler fight Cancer. We have had a lot of friends & family ask what they can do to help, we thought this would be the easiest way to be able to support them as they have many friends & family across Canada and the world.

Travis and his wife Jessica currently live on their acreage just outside of Qu’appelle SK. They currently have 4 horses, 2 goats, 3 dogs and 4 cats. Travis works for Neighbours Mechanical in Regina (he will have to take a leave of absence) and Jess runs her own business at home with JMcK Artwork. Travis also is co-owner of Sask Drift and spends a lot of time on the track coaching and judging. Travis and Jess have been married for 7 years, but knew eachother throughout high school.

Travis and his twin brother Tyler have had their fair shares of hurt & loss. The twins lost their mother to cancer 15 years ago. Their dad had small cancer battle a few years ago & recently had a stroke in Nov 2023 and is now living with physical debilities.

Travis noticed a lump on the left side of his neck in the fall of 2023. Travis went to his family doctor in September and got it looked at & ran some blood tests. The lump grew big and fast then stayed at its current size. Trav had no other symptoms and his constant blood work always came back fine. After multiple appointments and blood work tests and ultrasounds - November 2023 the doctor sent Trav for a biopsy. Trav finally got an appointment with a surgeon on May 29, 2024 which they did the biopsy.

Monday June 3rd 2024, Travis was at work on a roof, doing what he loves, when his phone rang. Travis answered the call and the surgeon tell Travis " you have cancer." Travis stood on the roof & knew his life was about to change. Travis took in as much information as he could from the phone call, hung up the phone, finished the job with his apprentice and went back to the shop. Travis drove home after work to his their acreage with Jess waiting for him at the door to comfort each other. Travis and Jess then reached out to Tyler & I, co-workers, friends and family to tell them the news.

Travis has met with the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic here in Regina and has also gone to Saskatoon to get his PET Scan. Travis has been diagnoed with Oropharyngeal cancer (Head and Neck Cancer.)

Travis and Jess have been taking the news the best they can and been going on day by day with the support of friends and family. Travis has missed many days of work & Jess is trying to keep her business running so they can have some sort of income - while being there for Trav at appointments, emotionally and physically.

Travis will be starting treatment in July - which will be every day in Regina for 7 weeks. We want to help support Trav and Jess during this hard time. We don't want any financial burden on them. We are raising money to help pay bills, gas, hotel stay (if needed) and subsidize their income. If you know Travis and Jess - they are the most kindhearted, selfless & hard working people. They would never ask for help - this is why are asking for them. Please help us raise funds and kick this cancer to the curb! If you would like to personally send money please contact Kelsey Holfeld or Tyler Fehler and we will help you out with this.

Everyone i'm sure have been affected by Cancer one way or another. Let's stand up together and show Travis and Jess that they aren't just another statistic!
