Tre's Wheelchair & Accessibility Fund
Donation protected
Hey, Y'all. My name is Tre Madden, and I was in a rollover accident off the Madras Highway in central Oregon at the beginning of October and broke my neck and nearly severed my spinal cord. I have had my sixth and seventh cervical vertebrae fused and have been in the hospital for a month in Bend, Oregon. I am on the ascent and will be transferred to Portland soon for intense physical therapy at the Rehabilitation Institute of Oregon. While much of my hospital costs are being covered by insurance, the cost of my wheelchair and the cost to make my home more accessible is going to come out of my own pocket. I am now a quasi-quadriplegic, and I am still learning and coming to terms with how I will have to adapt my life and my surroundings to help my body heal and find new modalities to live an abundant and joyful life with the disability of movement.
If you know me, you know I struggle to ask for help and resources. But in this situation, any amount that you can spare during these hard economic times would be very useful to me, especially given that I have no source of income at the moment. If you cannot give any economic assistance, then cards or company in Portland would be greatly appreciated. Following rehabilitation, I'm going to be moving into community assisted living in the Portland area until disability goes through and I am able to move back to the East coast.
This whole experience has been very humbling, and I appreciate anything y'all can provide. If you need to know the address of where I will be, then reach out to me on social media or send me a text message. Thank you and God bless.
