Treads for Change 2020

This year we have been selected to participate in Barry's Boston 3rd annual Treads for Change event taking place on Saturday March 14, 2020! This event helps to raise funds for 20 different charity organizations. Last year, total donations exceeded $80,000. Runners form teams and work to keep the treadmill moving for 5 straight hours.

We have selected Shatterproof as our charity to raise funds for this year. Shatterproof is a national non-profit organization dedicated to ending the devastation addiction causes families. Right now, they are focused on transforming America's addiction treatment system. Better addiction treatment means more lives saved. Currently, less than 2% of specialty addiction treatment programs offer all three FDA-approved medications for addiction. Additionally, only 18% of treatment is paid for by private health insurance. Shatterproof's efforts are widespread via funding for federal + state advocacy, education programs to reduce stigma, family education and support, proper treatment funding with a transparent rating system of providers, and more. Currently, 192 Americans die every day from drug overdoses. Let's help save lives.
