Treasure Nicole Hendrix Legal Fees

Hi, my name is Tracey Hendrix-Maxey I'm starting this GoFundMe page on behalf of my late niece 35 yr old Treasure Nicole Hendrix, who was murdered on August 19, 2021, in Chicago, IL.

Treasure Hendrix was a beautiful young woman with a heart and smile of gold. She was the first child born to her mom; that's why she called her Treasure. She loved children even though she didn't have any of her own. Treasure had begun setting up a Not-For-Profit organization for low-income and homeless women and kids. Her dreams will never come to fruition.

Treasure Nicole Hendrix (35yrs old) was murdered on August 19, 2021, in a trucking lot inside an RV Trailer on 15th and Western in Chicago, IL. Her mother received a visit on the morning of August 20, 2021, from a stranger who told her he found Treasure's car abandoned and gave her mom the location. Her story never made the news nor the newspaper until the family posted flyers of her death on social media after finding out her car was abandoned in the lot by the stranger. Three of Treasure's aunts went looking for her by going to the police station in that district but were turned away. The aunts went over to the lot where her car had been abandoned and found out by a Trucker in the lot that the body of a black woman was found dead in the RV. Treasure's mom was never told of her daughter's death by police or the medical examiner's office, even though Treasure had a current Illinois State ID with her address on it. The owner of the RV was the last one to see her alive, and he was the one to report her deceased. The RV owner was someone Treasure had known for 5yrs, and the police never questioned him. They let him go, and it is alleged that he has left the state of Illinois. It was later revealed that the police knew this man. Treasure's body had been beaten with bruises, black eye, swollen lips and her acrylic nails had been ripped off her hands. The medical examiner had done an autopsy without notifying the family even though they had her body an entire day with identification of where she lived. One year later, as of Aug 19, 2022, there has been no investigation, even though police say the case is still open. The police have still never communicated with her mother anything about her death. The funds from this GoFundMe will be used to hire a private investigator, to pay for the Justice for Treasure March on Aug 20, 2022, and any legal fees incurred to find out what happened to Treasure Hendrix.
