Hi, my name is Alex and I am sharing this GoFundMe in support of my Aunt, Cheryl Buchanan. We are from the mountains of Western NC, and like so many our community was devastated by Hurricane Helene. During this disaster, my aunt's business was destroyed. Cheryl Buchanan opened Treasures in the Pines about 5 years ago. She poured her heart and soul into this shop, and cultivated such a special space in the town of Spruce Pine. She would love to continue her business and be a part of the community, but she is not getting any help from insurance or FEMA. She lost the building and her inventory, and is now trying to find any way to rebuild and support her vendors. She will be seeking a temporary location with other merchants to maintain small businesses in Spruce Pine on a small scale. Anything you can donate will be deeply appreciated and will help support costs as she rebuilds. Funds will go towards replacing equipment, relocation expenses, and recouping losses for destroyed inventory.
