Treatment and supplies for Ellis
Donation protected
Hi,
this is Tasha and I'm raising money for my friend Ellis.
Treating illnesses like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, Lyme disease, mould toxicity and long Covid are very difficult unless you
a) have the money to pay for treatment
b) have clearer diagnoses and know what to target to improve symptoms and body function
c) a healthy environment to stay healthy once feeling better, or partly/fully in remission
The NHS despite its best efforts are not the best at treating these illnesses and so to get real help, patients often have to find the funds themselves and source outwardly for help. All these illnesses are difficult to pinpoint, however, the good news is, many of them require very similar treatment.
Ellis has been struggling with chronic fatigue and undiagnosed autoimmune problems for years, and I and her friends want to support her so we can see her get better.
This is something very close to my heart. I have autoimmune problems (mast cell activation syndrome) and was lucky enough to find an amazing doctor last year who helped me get better, plus parents who could support me financially to do so.
Treatment can be expensive, and it is painful knowing Ellis could get better with some money and the right help from the private clinic I went to.
We are looking to raise enough money to help Ellis get better of course, but for starters, we would like to raise enough for:
- A dehumidifier. Like most places down in the south of England, there are issues with dampness and mould. Not only can this activate chronic illness, but it can also make it much worse and prevent someone from getting better
- An air purifier. Chronically ill people usually have a heightened histamine response and inflammation can increase in the air that contains dust, mould spores etc. so this would be a massive help to Ellis
- An initial consultation with Brehan from Crawford Wellness. Brehan helped me when I was in and out of the hospital last year nearly every single day. Over the past year with the clinic's help and Brehan's attention to detail with my illness, I am 80% into remission. I thought I was going to die last year and was mostly bedbound. A year later, I moved back to Brighton where I was originally studying, finished my degree, and have much less doctors appointments and my health issues are much more manageable.
We anticipate this will cost around £550 to get started.
We all want to see Ellis get better. No one deserves the medical neglect chronically ill patients experience and I can envision a future that is much brighter for Ellis. Any donations are greatly appreciated
