Treatment for Ben Libby - SU Lacrosse
Donation protected
Ben Libby, who is currently a junior attackman at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas , has been diagnosed with 'Undifferentiated Embryonal Sarcoma of the Liver'.
About a week ago, he had surgery for a large tumor in his liver. The surgery was successful and after having half of his liver removed along with what was a 6lb tumor, he then had a follow up surgery for bile leakage. The plan moving forward was to heal and that all would be well after a couple of months.
The doctors believe they removed everything in the surgery, but because they did not believe they were looking at a cancerous tumor initially, he will have to undergo Chemotherapy for 3-6 months, once he is healed enough from his surgeries.
Ben will miss the remainder of his junior year and our goal is to raise any funds possible, to help the Libby family with medical costs as Ben goes through treatment in the coming months.
