Treatment for Emma
Donation protected
Hi, My name is Danielle and I am helping Emma and her family to raise the funds she so desperately wants to try and prolong her life. I have the following message sent to me from Emma's Mum..
"Hi, Emma is a 22 year old and a mother to 3 absolutely lovely children; Neveah, Lola and Alfie
Whilst Emma was pregnant with her youngest child Alfie she was in and out of hospital with choloeostasis of the liver. Upon an ultrasound to try and get a clearer picture of her liver the ultrasound picked up a tumour around 10cm on her right kidney.
Emma gave birth to Alfie at 37 weeks so they they could do a CT scan to see more in depth the issue with her kidney as Alfie was cushioning it a bit too much so it wasn’t as clear as they would have liked it to be.
On the 8th July Emma underwent a CT scan with contrast to get a more detailed image of her kidney and the consultant decided that it had to come out just 2 weeks after giving birth. On the 26th July her right kidney was removed. The results came back on the 15th September and she was diagnosed with pT2bN0 G4 papillary renal cell carcinoma.
Emma then started immunotherapy in September 2022 but the immunotherapy has not worked. On the 20th March Emma received the devastating news that her cancer had spread to her spine, some bones and her breastbone and was told that it was stage 4; she is now on oral chemotherapy to prolong her life so she can spend as much time with her 3 children as possible.
We have found a treatment that will hopefully work in Emma’s favour, it’s Proton beam therapy. Proton beam therapy is stronger than the traditional radiotherapy it targets the tumours and not the tissue surrounding them, it has a high chance of shrinking them down to not cause no issues and to stop the spread.
We are hoping to raise the funds to give Emma the best possible chance to try and control the cancer and to stop it from spreading; any help that can be given will be greatly appreciated this will hopefully keep Emma at home where she needs to be with her children and put up the best possible fight she can.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read"
So guys any donation at all is massively appreciated. We are aware it is a huge target but every little will help towards getting Emma the treatment that the NHS won't provide, which is estimated to cost between £27,000-£48,000.
Given that Emma's time left to spend with her babies is estimated at a handful of years, maybe less. This is somewhat of a time sensitive fundraiser. Even if you can't give a donation right now then please give our page a share and let's try and give her the best chance of seeing her babies grow up.
Many Thanks in advance from Me, Emma and All of her family. ✌
