Mossy Foot Project, Elephantiasis

Mossy Foot disease is a disease of poverty caused by people being barefoot in volcanic soil. Because the feet and legs of those afflicted with this condition become
grotesque and smell foul, they are outcast from society and shunned like lepers. Through treating them at our clinics their feet greatly imporve and they accepted back into society and become productive members of their communities. Their lives are trnsformed.

The treament is simple, washing the feet well, soaking them in diluted bleach solution, using Whitfield ointment along with lymphatic massage, elastic bandages for compression,elevation of the feet
and oversized leather shoes that we produce.

We are currently short of treatment supplies and need funds to buy soap, bleach, ointment and produce shoes
for our patients at the 16 clinics here in Ethiopia.
We need these supplies now.

These funds will transform the lives of our patients so they can be a self sustaining and imporve the lives of their entire families.

This is very urgent. We don't want to let these people down.
